In between Charter and Instruction, (my home base has always been Brakpan Airfield) I received training to present Bush Pilot Courses. This was a special privilege, as this was something that really elevated my own flying skill, and I really enjoyed passing this onto clients. I was also introduced to flying safaris, guiding clients to amazing destinations within South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mocambique.

I then moved to Springs Airfield, where I was a full-time instructor for nearly 8 years, and was the acting Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) for about 4 of those years. In the meantime, I had got myself rated on more than 75 types with variants totalling 135 aircraft.

All of my experience briefly outlined above allows me to confidently offer you an above-average experience. I don’t enjoy the label, but they say the “grey-beards” have more to offer! Remember, you get OLD pilots and you get BOLD pilots, but you don’t get OLD BOLD pilots.
